Kukil Saikia is one of the popular youth poets among the millennials of Assam. Born and brought up in Kalabari, Biswanath. He got his interest in Assamese literature at a very young age. Having a keen interest to study about the world language and literature. He has a grasp of not only poetry but also in writing articles, stories and translations. He published his first book named " Shui thaka sohor khonok jagai diya "in the year 2018 and "Pratibadi Kabita" in the year of 2023. In 2024, he published another book named - ''Ami Amak Ki Buli Kom.''

Kukil is a regular writer of Assamese literature in mainstream magazines, newspapers etc. Alongside with writing, he is a social activist too. Kukil is  the Founder and moderator of a Project website called "Anubadak, the translstors" .Also he is an executive member of a quarterly based Assamese poetry magazine named "Yatra". Presently, he lives in Guwahati (Assam).
